Welcome Baby Makell!!

So exactly one week ago Chase and I became an aunt and uncle from my side of the family. The first neice for both of us! My brother, Jared, and his wife, Emilie, had their baby girl on Dec. 22! She is soo dang cute, I can guarantee she will be spoiled! They named her Makell Aylene Cook. I just adore her, and wish they lived closer so I could spend more time with her!

Horsin' Around!

For those of you who don't know me very well, my Grandpa Johnson breeds and used to train thorough bred race horses. He recently added a new philly to the family! After a few months he was ready to send in the papers to get her registered. He decided he was going to name her after me! On the paper work you have to choose 3 names... one was Amanda P., another was Amanda James, and last but not least was Chase'n Amanda. I bet you will never guess which one got chosen?! Her name is now Chase'n Amanda!! How cool is that!? I hope she goes far in the race world! Anyway... here are a few pictures of her.

Craft Day!

On December 1st a some friends and I got together and made some Christmas crafts. It was so much fun to hang out with just the girls and make something creative! We did some blocks using the vinyl lettering and some imagination! I think they turned out super cute and we decided that we need to get together to make a craft every month! I can't wait to see what next month brings!

Deck the Halls!!

So the Christmas season is here and we have been slowly decorating for it! A few weeks ago Chase and our friend Kelly put up Christmas lights outside, and just last weekend we finally got a tree! It was quite the experience what with it being our "first" and all. Who knew trees were so dang expensive?! We got some lights to wrap around it (possibly too many lights)! That was a huge pain. Chase had to cut each light out of the cardboard packing.... then what had looked so great in our minds didn't look sooo great on the tree!! But we like it! I finally got a little garland wrapped around the stair rail, but the cord is too short to reach the closest outlet, so an extension cord will have to be found! My hat goes off to our mom's who decorate so nice each year... Who knew it was such a headache!!

Pictionary Party!!

Friday night we had some friends over to play pictionary, munch treats and enjoy everyone's company. It was a blast!! Chase and I don't like to play the old tradtional pictionary so we make up our own words. It was boys against girls and let me tell ya... our words ranged from easy to extremely difficult!! We laughed and laughed until 11:30! It was such a good time, thanks to all who came and shared their imaginations with us!

SLC Nights!!!

Here we are at the end of another great weekend! We had so much fun this weekend! Saturday morning we got up and ventured out to South Jordan for the SnoWest snowmobile show. We met up with Grant & Lindy and our other friends Bryce & Jessi. Later that day we went to the
Gateway and hung out, shopped and played in the planetarium.

Chase, me, Bryce & Jessi met up with our friend Skyler and his wife Mary for dinner at the Market Street Grill. BIG MISTAKE!!! We had such a great time and our tab showed it!! When your food bill is only a few dollars higher than your beverage bill...... something good must have happened! Then we decided we needed a hotel room :) And the night rolled on!!

The next day we went out to Lagoon for Frightmares. It was a perfect day to be out. The sun shined and the weather was amazing. We had a lot of fun riding all of the fun rides. But now my feet hurt!!

** We loved this sign... DO NOT SIT ON THE FENCE - - - seriously, who is stupid enough to sit on a fence that looks like this?!

Pumpkin Carving

On Tuesday Chase and I had some of our friends over to the house to carve pumpkins. It was a lot of fun. We had little kids running around and a house full of the people we love most. We had some pretty good carvers amongst us and a few beginners!! We hope we can get together and do this every year for Halloween.

Grant and Lindy brought their little boy Maddux. He was adorable! When all of the pumkins were carved we took them out on the front step and put a candle or flashlight in them just to see 'how good' they were! He loved it! Dustin was his best friend because he was the only one who kept taking him outside! Grant carved the evil Mr. Burns from the Simpsons... I have to admit it turned out pretty good!

Dave and Jayme brought their little girls... sweet little Abigayle and Miss Lyvie!! Lyvie was a lot of fun, into everything and running crazy! It helped remind Chase and I that we are in no hurry for kids!! Poor Lyvie fell off a chair early in the night... she was a good sport about it though! No bumps or bruises, just tender feelings!

Chase enjoyed the night. Halloween is his favorite holiday! He has big plans to carve at least 5 pumpkins!!

We are so lucky to have such fun friends! P.S... I totally forgot to put a picture of the spider cupcakes on here that me and Chase slaved over!! It was fun making them together. So here they are!

Jason & Laree's Wedding!!

On Friday the 19th my brother, Jason, married his sweetheart, Laree. It was a fun time!! We went to Idaho Falls where they were married and had a luncheon, and then attended the reception in Ashton, Idaho. It was quite an eventful day!! Chase and I shopped the Grand Teton Mall!! And ate a lot!! Saturday night was the reception in Rupert, Idaho. It was held at the same place Chase and I were married. So it

brought back some good memories! Chase and I tried to teach the little girls how to do the Boot Scoot n Boogie line dance!! We finally had it down by the last sentence in the song!! Unfortunately my camera battery had died by then, so there is no evidence of that little escapade!! It was so much fun though! Here are a few pictures from the special occassion!

And of course a few randoms of Chase and I... after all it is "OUR" blog!! We laughed at the pic on the right and said this is our 'temple' picture. It helps remind us of what our goals in life are!

Weekend Entertainment

So I guess this weekend was pretty eventful... We went to Morgan to Chase's moms house to help get things ready for winter and to go to a wedding reception. Good times were definitely had :) We gathered some friends for a haunted house on Saturday night. It was pretty good for an $8.00 haunted house!!
On Sunday Adam & Jamie (Chase's bro) came to Morgan with their super adorable boys... and we played! It was good to see everyone!

Golf Goofs...

Chase striking a pose for the camera.. He's such a stud!!

Kelly going for par!

Don't ask what I'm doing, cause I don't know!!

Thanks to Camille for the pics of golfing at The Barn in North Ogden... What a good time!
